On CNN last night, Dan Rather warned viewers that the Florida Republican primary was about to get nasty.
“I think this race in Florida will be ugly enough to choke a vulture,” Rather said. “It’s going to be nasty on all sides.”

Rather insisted that Romney needed to have two good debate performances to rebuild his campaign against Gingrich.
“Romney has to damage Gingrich,” Rather added. “He has to call to the public’s mind the so-called baggage that Gingrich has.”
