John Amaechi, the former NBA player who made headlines earlier this year by revealing that he is homosexual, attended Moises Kaufman’s “33 Variations” on Wednesday night at Arena Stage’s Kreeger Theater.
The play focuses on Beethoven’s obsessive creation of 33 variations on a single waltz by another composer.
