Trump’s Secretary of State buys a house near Obamas, Trumps

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson recently purchased a $5.6 million home in the Kalorama neighborhood of Washington, D.C., where Ivanka Trump and former President Barack Obama reside.

The former Exxon Mobil CEO’s house purchase went through on Feb. 10, nine days after the Senate confirmed him as a Cabinet member. Tillerson and his wife, Renda St. Clair, have four children, and most recently lived in Irving, Texas.

Tillerson purchased the four-bedroom, four-and-a-half bath Colonial Revival home from former AOL executive Richard Hanlon and his wife, who were represented by Washington Fine Properties, according to the Washingtonian.

The Northwest D.C. neighborhood is also home to Amazon CEO and Washington Post owner Jeff Bezos.

Housing and Urban Development Sec. Ben Carson moved to the northern Virginia suburbs earlier this month, snatching a $1.3 million place in Vienna.
