What would Google do?

Obama v. McCain

Make no mistake about it: Virginia could play a huge role in deciding the next president of the United States. Obama wants to steal the state from Republicans and McCain just wants to keep it in the red column.

How will it vote? When it doubt, you can always turn to trusty ‘ol Google for the answers. Its Google Trends feature, which ranks the volume of searches coming from different cities and states, reveals that Virginians searched for Obama twice as often as they did for McCain.

McCain’s wife, Cindy, actually did better than her hubby, garnering roughly the same amount of searches as did Michelle Obama (in Maryland, searches for Michelle Obama outpaced those for Cindy McCain by nearly six to one).
