Pittsburgh fans are living in the moment as after almost two decades, two Super Bowl championships, and six Pro Bowls, Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger said Monday’s home game is probably his last.
It’s about appreciating the now, according to a local outlet, and fans are looking back on “Big Ben’s” time at Heinz Field.
“It’s been great,” Ken Kniess said. “It’s been a real good experience watching Ben.”

“It’s sad,” Lisa DeVita said. “But I think he’s had a good run.”
Yes, it seems after 18 years in the Black and Gold, the sun is ready to set on Roethlisberger’s Hall of Fame career.
“It’s going to be hard for whoever quarterback we have,” Aiden Nowark said.
Not seeing their No. 7 on the field will be strange for many in Pittsburgh, and fans said that Roethlisberger illustrates what it means to be a winner, according to the report.
“Ben did bring us two Super Bowls and led us to a third one. That says a lot to us,” Andrew Gualtieri, a season-ticket holder, said.
However, many fans of the six-time world champion Steelers admit Roethlisberger’s arm strength is not where it used to be.
“It’s been great,” Richard Irving said. “He’ll be in the Hall of Fame. I just think it’s time for him to retire. He’s losing his touch.”
“Maybe it’s time for a little younger blood,” Kniess said.
Who Roethlisberger’s heir will be is anyone’s guess, according to the report.
“I think the draft will be tough to draft a QB where they’ll be,” Gualtieri said. “So I don’t know if they’ll go with [Mason] Rudolph or get a free agent for a bridge year.”
