Nevada rallygoers bring back ‘lock her up’ chant after Trump labels Hillary Clinton a ‘criminal’

Attendees of President Trump’s rally in Nevada chanted, “Lock her up,” when the president mentioned former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Trump was met with the chants after he called Clinton a “criminal.”

“You know, it’s true … She got a subpoena from the United States Congress, right, and she and her lawyer deleted 33,000 emails — after she got a United States subpoena,” he said. “Lock her up” was a common chant during the president’s campaign against Clinton in 2016.

Trump landed in Nevada on Saturday for a rally about 50 miles from Reno. He will also hold other events in the battleground state this weekend, including a “Latinos for Trump” roundtable discussion in Las Vegas and another evening rally outside the city.

The president also addressed claims published in the Atlantic earlier this month that he called fallen World War I service members “suckers” and “losers.”

“There’s nobody who loves our military, respects them, more than me. There were 25 witnesses on the record that said it never happened,” he said Saturday.

The campaign for Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden released an ad slamming the president for the reported comments, sparking Trump to call the former vice president a “pathetic human being.”

“They’re a disgrace, but you know the good part? Now I can be really vicious,” he said.

“Joe Biden cannot lead our country ’cause he doesn’t really believe in our country,” he said. “He is the worst candidate in the history of presidential politics.”
