Elizabeth Warren’s presidential campaign received a small boost two weeks before the Iowa caucuses with a late endorsement from a congressional ally.
Rep. Jamie Raskin, a Maryland Democrat who played a central role in the House Democrat-led impeachment investigation into President Trump, announced his support of the Massachusetts senator on Wednesday. Raskin’s district stretches from his state’s border with D.C. to Pennsylvania and is home to some of his party’s most active members.
“Senator Elizabeth Warren has always stood with the American people, and she has always stood with me. I am proud to stand with her now in her surging and historic campaign for President. Go @ewarren!” Raskin, 57, tweeted.

Raskin’s endorsement of Warren, 70, follows her high-profile backing from former 2020 Democratic nomination rival Julian Castro, 45.
The support, however, has failed to stem her bleeding in the polls. A new national poll from CNN released on Wednesday found Warren is losing momentum with liberal Democrats to Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders.
