The National Park Service and the Friends of the National World War II Memorial are commemorating the 70th anniversary of Japan’s attack on Pearl Harbor with a free program at the memorial on Wednesday paying tribute to veteran service organizations. It begins at about 1:30 p.m. and includes a presentation of the colors by the Armed Forces Color Guard, a musical tribute by the United States Marine Band, a keynote address by Sen. Jim Webb (D-Va.) and a wreath-laying ceremony at 1:53. The memorial is on the National Mall, on 17th Street between Constitution and Independence avenues.
