Massive Bud Light spill on interstate in Louisville

A truck driver in Kentucky may get canned after an accident on an Interstate 71 ramp.

A semitruck carrying dozens of Bud Light beer cases was making its way onto the Gene Snyder Freeway when it overturned, spilling most of its cargo in the median between the freeway and the ramp, according to Louisville Metro Police. Thousands of Bud Light cans were seen in the photos, along with several boxes intact after being dumped out over 30 feet from the truck, WLKY reported.

There were no injuries that resulted from the accident, and the driver got out of the vehicle on his own, LMPD reported.

Wednesday’s accident is not Kentucky’s first Bud Light-related spill of 2022, as a semitruck overturned on Interstate 65 in March, spilling Bud Light Platinum bottles on the road and a nearby hillside. While no one was hurt in the accident, there were several broken bottles on the interstate and off of the side of the highway, as well as 25 gallons of spilled diesel fuel, officials said.
