Kyle Rittenhouse wants an apology from President Joe Biden for linking him to white supremacy.
Fresh off announcing a new initiative to challenge those the teenager believes have defamed him, Rittenhouse told Newsmax host Eric Bolling on Friday that he has reached out to Biden several times to no avail and is considering another way to contact the commander in chief.
“I tried reaching out to him five times to have an interview, but he was too cowardly to sit down and talk to me,” Rittenhouse told Bolling. “So we may be sending him a letter.”

When asked by Bolling what the letter would say, Rittenhouse said he wants Biden “to apologize.”
“What he said was wrong,” Rittenhouse said. “I want him to sit down with me, and I want him to learn the facts about what happened.”
RITTENHOUSE: “The President of the United States called me a ‘white supremacist.’ I tried reaching out to him five times to have an interview, but he was too cowardly to sit down and talk to me.”

Biden released an advertisement Sept. 30, 2020, in which he attacked former President Donald Trump, his 2020 rival, for not disavowing white supremacists during a debate. The ad featured an image of Rittenhouse carrying a gun during the riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin, last year.

Rittenhouse previously said Biden linking him to white supremacists was “actual malice” and added that it’s “defaming [his] character for [Biden] to say something like that.”
Rittenhouse, who was 17 when he fatally shot two men and injured a third during the 2020 riots in Kenosha, claimed he was acting in self-defense and was in the city with a rifle to help protect businesses there during the unrest that followed the police shooting of Jacob Blake. A Wisconsin jury in November acquitted Rittenhouse of all charges, ranging from intentional homicide to recklessly endangering safety.
On Monday, Rittenhouse announced the Media Accountability Project, which will raise money for legal challenges against outlets Rittenhouse believes defamed him during his trial and hold them “accountable” more broadly.
One person on his radar is NBA superstar LeBron James, who ridiculed him during his trial.
“What tears????? I didn’t see one,” James said in a tweet. “Man knock it off! That boy ate some lemon heads before walking into court,” he said of Rittenhouse’s emotional episode as he was providing testimony of what happened in Kenosha that led him to shoot three men.

Rittenhouse said in a recent interview that he intends to file legal action against “quite a few politicians, celebrities, athletes.” He singled out The View co-host Whoopi Goldberg, who said in her view, the teenager committed murder — even after his acquittal.
“Whoopi Goldberg is on the list,” Rittenhouse said. “She called me a murderer after I was acquitted by a jury of my peers.”
