An Ohio resident’s flag supporting former President Donald Trump was intentionally set ablaze, police said.
The Homer Fire Department responded to a report about the fire in Licking County, and when officers arrived, they found that the blaze had also spread to the area surrounding the flag, police said Thursday.
“After investigation, it was decided that a ‘Trump’ flag hanging up was intentionally burned also damaging a fence and causing the woods to catch fire,” the department said, according to the Newark Advocate. “Although your callous act caused minor damage … it is a crime and put a lot of emergency personnel in motion.”

Trump flags and public support for the former president have caused incidents in the past. An Indiana couple was charged in 2020 for allegedly using their car to run two teenagers riding bicycles featuring Trump flags off the road.
