Continuing its annual tradition, Congressional Quarterly is bringing the newly crowned Miss America — Michigan’s Kirsten Haglund, in this case — as its guest to the Washington Press Club Foundation’s 64th Annual Congressional Dinner. The best chance to rub elbows with the stunning 19-year-old will be at CQ’s Jazz Age-themed after-party at the Ritz Carlton, with the hotel’s hallway being transformed into a speakeasy’s “back alley” entrance, complete with a bouncer at the door.
