D.C.’s mayor said the city is on pace to accrue roughly $42.2 million in excess revenue during the 2012 fiscal year, which began Oct. 1. Gray wants to divvy up the extra cash between the Department of Health Care Finance ($10.2 million), Department of General Services ($10.6 million and D.C. Public Schools ($21.4 million). Gray plans to submit a supplemental budget to the D.C. Council soon.
