Prankster bought snivelingcoward.com, routed to Trump’s Twitter

Ted Cruz called Donald Trump a “sniveling coward” Thursday after the billionaire businessman repeatedly attacked the Texas senator’s wife, Heidi Cruz. Now, someone on the Internet is getting in on the action.

The domain name “snivelingcoward.com” has been purchased and redirected so that anyone who types it into their browser is sent to Trump’s Twitter page.

The Washington Examiner’s media desk located the man behind the domain purchase, Randy Hahn, who confirmed in a conversation that he “grabbed the domain name, and redirected it to Trump’s Twitter page.”

“Donald Trump has crossed the line many times over the past few months, but his direct attack on Ted Cruz’s wife … crossed the line. #NeverTrump is more focused than ever, and true conservatives are coalescing around Ted Cruz,” he told the Examiner.

Cruz blasted the casino tycoon Thursday afternoon for repeatedly attacking Heidi Cruz, which started after an anti-Trump PAC released a Facebook ad targeting Trump’s third wife, Melania.

“It’s not easy to tick me off. I don’t get angry often,” Cruz told reporters in Wisconsin. “But you mess with my wife, you mess with my kids, that’ll do it every time. Donald, you are a sniveling coward and leave Heidi the hell alone.

“Our spouses and our children are off bounds,” he added. “It is not acceptable for a big loud New York bully to attack my wife.”

An anti-Trump PAC, Make America Awesome, which is not affiliated with the Cruz campaign, targeted Mormon voters in Utah this month with an ad that included a picture of Melania from a nude GQ photo shoot. The ad included text that read, “Meet Melania Trump. Your next first lady. Or you could support Cruz on Tuesday.”

The Texas lawmaker went on to win the Utah Republican primary Tuesday, trouncing the current GOP front-runner.

Trump responded to the attack ad by threatening to “spill the beans” about the Heidi Cruz. The real estate mogul took it a step further Wednesday evening when he circulated a tweet featuring an unflattering image of Heidi Cruz alongside a picture of Melania. Text superimposed over the side-by-side picture read, “no need to ‘spill the beans’ the images are worth a thousand words.”

Cruz countered by labeling Trump a “coward,” but he also spoke highly of Melania, who he said was “lovely.”

Make America Awesome, which was founded by GOP strategist Liz Mair, is not affiliated with the Cruz campaign. Rather, the group was created with the sole purpose of preventing Trump from becoming the party’s nominee.

“Make America Awesome is a SuperPAC dedicated to making sure Donald Trump is not the Republican nominee in 2016. All consultants affiliated with Make America Awesome are working for no fee and have donated their time and money to perform what we view as a national service,” a political consultant affiliated with Make America Awesome told the Washington Examiner’s media desk.

“Make America Awesome is not authorized by nor does it support any single candidate,” the consultant added.

Trump kept at it Thursday evening, tweeting defenses of his attacks on Heidi Cruz, and incorrectly asserting that the senator had something to do with the PAC’s Facebook ad.

“I didn’t start the fight with Lyin’ Ted Cruz over the GQ cover pic of Melania, he did. He knew the PAC was putting it out – hence, Lyin’ Ted!” he tweeted.
