House Speaker Paul Ryan said he’s hoping special counsel Robert Mueller will soon complete an investigation into whether President Trump colluded with the Russians to win the presidency.
“I think he should be free to do his job, but I would like to see it get wrapped up of course,” Ryan told reporters who asked about the one-year anniversary of the probe. “We want to see this thing come to its conclusion, but I’ve always said, he should be free to finish his job.”
Ryan added that he doesn’t know when the investigation will end, but figured it might be nearing an end.
“It’s been a year,” Ryan said. “My guess is he’s probably coming to a conclusion. I can’t speak to that; you’d have to ask them that.”
