The U.S. Supreme Court has once more heard a case on affirmative action. Black students have reacted to the case, to audio from Justice Antonin Scalia, and the young female white plaintiff.
Abigail Fisher brought a case forward against the University of Texas-Austin after being denied admission. The school uses race as a factor.

Black students from the school, as well as others, have posted pictures of themselves in caps and gown on graduation with the hashtag #StayMadAbby. The hashtag has been trending on Facebook and Twitter, with many posts and tweets also included author commentary.
Many of the tweets take a stance that the black students who were accepted into the school did so because they worked to get there. While that may certainly be true, they don’t understand how affirmative actions works then. When race is used as a factor for admissions, it is not merely a student’s hard work then which gets them into school. And the hard work of another student may be used against her.
CJ Pearson, the young man once big in the conservative movement, who has now announced he will work for Bernie Sanders, also took part in the hasthag.

Not all in the media have seen the black students through such a rosy lens. Ben Shapiro warns that “the triumphalist racists are on the march” in “Meet the Racists of #StayMadAbby” for the Daily Wire News.
