Fox News prime-time host Sean Hannity continued his ongoing feud with CNN chief White House correspondent Jim Acosta on Wednesday, saying that Acosta has been “begging” to appear on his show.
The two of them have been trading jabs as Acosta is trying to promote his new book The Enemy of the People, which was released earlier this month.
“As I said to little Fake News Jimmy Acosta, you have not earned time on the number one show in all of cable news. You can tell all your reps to stop begging my staff, the answer is no,” Hannity said, according to his website. “Unlike you, I don’t peddle lies on the lowest rated cable network in America. Nor will I promote your lies on 618 of the best talk radio stations in America. Nor has anyone ever provided me scripts or talking points (another Acosta lie).”
“For the record, I do not recall meeting you on a bus, why did you miss your big chance to talk to me?” he continued. “Now I do have good news for you. I will gladly meet you privately in a mutually agreeable ‘schoolyard’ ALONE, as you requested. My only condition is this meeting will have nothing to do with your failing book, failing career, or failing network. I’m free the week of the 4th.”
Acosta previously said that both Hannity and fellow Fox News host Tucker Carlson ignored him in Helsinki at the time of the press conference with President Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin instead of saying something “to my face.” He accused them of “fauxmacho man bullshit.”
Audio of my second interview w/ @Acosta: https://t.co/8tUPH1msif For the life of me I don’t understand the difference between @realDonaldTrump branding @CNN as “fake news” when Jim brands much of Fox News as “propaganda” and “state TV.” Both attacks intend to delegitimize.

In a radio interview on Hugh Hewitt’s show Tuesday, Acosta accused Fox News of being scripted by the White House.
