Trump to give speech attacking Clinton in NYC amid campaign turmoil

Donald Trump will deliver a speech in New York City on Wednesday as chaos encircles the GOP presumptive nominee’s presidential campaign.

Trump tweeted that the topic of his speech will be “the failed policies and bad judgment of Crooked Hillary Clinton.” The Wednesday talk will serve as an opportunity for Trump to go back on the offensive after a deluge of bad news surrounded his campaign.

After firing his campaign manager on Monday morning, Federal Election Commission filings revealed Trump’s campaign began June with $1.3 million cash-on-hand as compared to the more than $40 million amassed by his opponent, Hillary Clinton.

Trump’s racially charged criticism of the federal judge presiding in a Trump University lawsuit spawned criticism that has dogged his campaign for weeks. His reaction to the mass shooting and terrorist attack in Orlando, Fla., appeared to rankle some voters even more.

Trump changed plans to deliver the speech blasting Clinton after the Orlando attack and is seizing on the opportunity this week to regain his footing on the campaign trail. With under one month until the GOP convention and talk of a delegate coup in Cleveland growing louder, Trump may also address the various concerns Republican leaders have with his campaign.

He is scheduled to deliver the address at 11 a.m. at Trump SoHo, a hotel-condominium that was the subject of a lawsuit earlier this decade accusing Trump and the promoters of Trump SoHo of fraud. Trump later settled without admitting any wrongdoing.
