RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Dominion Resources’ charitable foundation is awarding $610,000 in education grants to 51 Virginia schools.
The Richmond-based energy provider says the grants will help fund projects at 36 K-12 schools related to energy and the environment.
Other grants to 15 college and post-secondary schools will help fund projects in renewable energy, environmental studies, engineering and workforce development.
The Virginia grants are part of $1.4 million awarded to 110 schools in 10 states where Dominion does business.
Dominion Resources Inc. is one of the nation’s largest producers and transporters of energy and serves retail customers in 15 states.
