A District man has been sentenced to six months in jail for abusing two kittens, prosecutors said.
Eric Gaskin, 39, purchased two kittens in May 2012, brought them to his sister’s house and then used clippers in an effort to declaw the animals or amputate their toes, according to the District’s U.S. Attorney’s Office. After the procedure, the kittens were unable to walk.
