Kareem Moore on the sandwich hit of Michael Vick: “I just saw him scramble and DeAngelo came from one side and I came from one side and I tried to throw it in there before he got in the end zone and he was down for a minute. My hats off to DeAngelo for hustling.”
Moore on the impact of Vick exiting: “It was big. We game planned for Vick being No. 1 and when he went down the game plan didn’t change, but a lot of things changed. Kolb isn’t as much of a scrambler.”
DeAngelo Hall on the Vick hit: “We were running to the ball. I didn’t feel like it was that big of a hit. But obviously it got him in the sweet spot.”

Lorenzo Alexander on defending the receivers: “We were jamming them. They were smaller guys, they’re fast and they want to get down the field. We wanted to get physical with them and take them out because guys like DeSean and Maclin, once they get in space they run away from you. We wanted frustrate them and throw them off their timing and keep Vick in front of us.”
Alexander on Kolb: “He’s a great guy, a great quarterback. But he’s not as dangerous on his feet.”
Alexander on his big hit on the kick return: “Danny [Smith] did a great job setting that up with the scheme. I came from the right side and came around and I was a free player on that and I just ran full speed and ran through him.”
Alexander on setting a tone with physical play: “Yeah, you set a tone, you want to beat a team up physically. Once you start doing that, by the fourth quarter they’re ready to give up. You could see in our running game we got stronger as the game went on. Ryan was a beast out there today. I’ve been liking him ever since OTAs and praising him. He took advantage of it when CP went down. He ran over guys to get that touchdown, drag a couple guys for extra yards. He’s a beast. As long as he can stay healthy, he’ll be a great back.”
Clinton Portis on his groin injury: “We’re going to find out tomorrow. Hopefully it’s day to day and I can be back on the field Sunday.”
Portis on why they attacked the edges so much: “They drop the safety down and you can get around the edge so we tried it.”
Ryan Torain on his touchdown run: “First play of the day, ran a guy over. Awesome feeling. I enjoyed it. Too bad I didn’t keep the ball.”
Torain on how much confidence it gave them: “That reinforces that I can play on this level. It’s been a long time and I’m enjoying it.”
Albert Haynesworth on his comfort level: “The more I get to play the better I’ll get. If you leave me out on the field a little bit longer, then I can cause more havoc.”
LaRon Landry on DeSean Jackson’s lack of an attempt at catching a pass near him late in the game: “It looked like he was tip-toeing. After it passed him, he jumped like he was hurt and I didn’t really touch him. Footsteps in the dark, you know? When you hear it … He heard me.”
Brian Orakpo on the holding penalties vs. him: “I’m happy we got the win but it is frustrating because I do want to get sacks and big plays. Guys continue to hold me out there and you’ve got to live with it. They look at my numbers and I have two sacks in four games and they think it’s not good. But you have to consider the holding calls I’m getting and it’s getting kind of redundant now.”
Orakpo on rushing with four guys: “Has knows; he realized or found out that we’re a good front with just rushing four or five every now and then. If you get four guys and leave a lot of guys back in coverage you’ll get the job done and once Vick was out of the game we were able to get Kolb moving around the pocket a lot. We didn’t get a lot of sacks but we got a lot of pressure on him.”
