“Bachelor” star Andy Baldwin, now a D.C. resident, stopped by the Ritz Carlton on Monday evening for makeover event benefiting the Got Your Back charity, which supports military families. The cause has long been a passion for Baldwin and it happens to be a passion of the incoming first lady, Michelle Obama. Any advice, reality star?
“I think she just needs to spend time with the families,” said Baldwin. “Too many politicians do it from a distance, by setting up committees or organizations.” How often should Barack Obama visit Walter Reed Army Medical Center? “Oh, I don’t want to go there and pin down a number.” It wasn’t the only thing Baldwin kept away from the public that night; he asked event organizers to downplay his “Bachelor” role in order to keep the focus on the military families.
