Russian fighter jet unsafely intercepts US aircraft over Mediterranean Sea

The United States Navy said that an American aircraft was intercepted by a Russian SU-35 in an “unsafe” maneuver.

The interception, which lasted about 42 minutes, occurred Wednesday in international airspace over the Mediterranean Sea, the Navy’s 6th Fleet said in a statement.
