The FBI has yet to interview Hillary Clinton about her use of a homebrew email server as secretary of state, Clinton said Tuesday.
“No, no, no,” Clinton said in response to a question by Andrea Mitchell today.
The Democratic frontrunner said the same in early April, telling MSNBC that the FBI had not reached out to her, but that she was open to it.
“No, no they haven’t. But, you know, back in August, we made clear that I’m happy to answer any questions that anybody might have. And I stand by that,” Clinton said.
In late April, FBI director James Comey said that “there’s no timetable” on the investigation, which prompted speculation that the probe would still be ongoing during the Democratic convention.
Clinton also claimed Tuesday that there was also no indication that her server had been hacked, though Clinton confidante Lanny Davis said in April that he “wouldn’t be surprised” if it had been.
Twenty-two of the emails held on Clinton’s private server have been marked “top secret” by the State Department. In January, Fox News reported that Clinton’s server also contained emails marked “special access programs” (SAP), the highest level of intelligence.
Despite these findings, Bill Clinton called the investigation a “game” at a campaign stop for his wife Saturday.
