Hillary Clinton is running laps around her potential 2016 presidential competitors, at least when it comes to social media.
The former Secretary of State beat out four potential Republican nominees in terms of the number of Facebook interactions — defined as posts, comments, likes and shares — in the days leading up to and after the Nov. 4 midterm elections, according to data given to ABC News by Facebook.
Clinton leads the pack with approximately 312,000 interactions, followed by New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (233K), Texas Sen. Ted Cruz (152K), Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul (93K) and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (88K) — all Republicans.
Social media is a key competent to winning elections in the 21st century.
The polls paint a similar picture for Clinton, who is leading her closest potential Democratic challenger, Vice President Joe Biden, by approximately 50 points, according to a RealClearPolitics average of polls.
The Republican field is a bit more clustered. Paul leads Bush by just .2 points, Christie is polled fourth —1.2 points behind Paul — and Cruz is in eight place.
