DNC unveils ‘Urban Unity’ poster for convention

President Obama and the Democratic National Committee (DNC) might have the makings of a new slogan for the 2012 election cycle, as the DNC announced that a design called “Urban Unity” will be the poster for the DNC convention in Charlotte, N.C

“Steve Ward is an instructor of digital design at York Technical College and he earned his degree in graphic design from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte,” Murrey wrote of the Charlotte resident who designed the poster. “His poster ‘Urban Unity’ represents his love of Charlotte by using the skyline and with clasping hands show the importance for people to come together for a common cause.”

The poster seems to evoke Obama’s 2008 rhetoric of uniting “red” and “blue” voting Americans, as it depicts red and blue hands joined together.

The DNC is selling the poster for $25.
