That didn’t take long. Not even a week and a half after the New York Giants shocked the world by beating the once-invincible Patriots, the House leadership is bringing a congratulatory bill to the floor tonight.
Sponsored by Democratic Rep. Steve Rothman, who represents the New Jersey Meadowlands where the Giants play (he actually introduced it last Wednesday), the bill has already attracted 60 co-sponsors. Even Massachusetts Democrat Steve Lynch was man enough to support it.

The rest of the state’s delegation can content themselves by supporting another bill on the agenda: to redesignate the Museum of the American Quilters Society in Paducah, Ky., as the “National Quilt Museum of the United States.”
After all, Pats fans need their blankies.
