JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — A national labor board has decided that a dispute between the union for Jacksonville symphony musicians and their employer should go to a judge.
The Florida Times-Union reports (http://bit.ly/TAzcRc ) that the National Labor Relations Board said Thursday that the complaint against the Jacksonville Symphony Association should be considered by an administrative law judge.

The most reason season of the symphony marked the end of a five-year musicians’ contract. That contract was reached in January 2008 after a lockout of more than two months.
The two sides declared an impasse in September in reaching a new contract, after the union said the association refused to budge on a salary cut of almost 20 percent.
The association says the union has refused to address ongoing financial problems.
