This morning, at FEC.gov, we get a chance to see some of the big names who forked over $1,000 to $2,400 — or, for political action committees, up to $5,000. Mary Beth Donohue is the executive vice president at America’s Health Insurance Plans, the Washington-based lobby for the health insurance industry. She spent $1,000 Tuesday night to help elect Coakley.
Also interesting: The Medicines Company, the drug maker that reportedly stands to profit $1 billion off the health-care reform bill, gave Coakley $2,400 through its PAC on Tuesday.
And while I saw Biotechnology Industry Organization President Jim Greenwood at the Sonoma fundraiser, I can’t find a record of his contribution.
