D.C. police make quick arrest in fatal shooting
D.C. police have arrested a suspect in a fatal shooting early Sunday morning in Northwest D.C. Officers responding to the 1200 block of 11th Street NW around 2:25 a.m. Sunday found 24-year-old Jose Hernandez-Romero suffering from a gunshot wound. He later died at a local hospital.
The suspect, Alexis Pineda, 24, was “being restrained by witnesses to the shooting,” according to D.C. police. He was arrested and charged with second-degree murder while armed.
