Donald Trump stood defiant on Saturday, a day after a 2005 video resurfaced and showed him making lewd comments about women.
“Zero chance I’ll quit” the race, the Republican nominee said, according to the Wall Street Journal. He also said “the support I’m getting is unbelievable.”
He also went somewhat on offense.
“Go behind closed doors of the holier-than-thou politicians and pundits and see what they’re saying,” said Trump. “I look like a baby.”
On Twitter, Trump said it “certainly has been an interesting 24 hours!”
In a separate interview with the Washington Post, Trump said he has been through similar pressures.
“I’ve been here before, I’ll tell ya, in life,” he said. “I understand life and how you make it through. You go through things. I’ve been through many. It’s called life. And it’s always interesting.”
He also said he’s “holding up well” under the scrutiny.
In the 2005 video, first released by the Washington Post on Friday, Trump is overheard on a hot mic talking with a celebrity gossip show anchor as he arrives on set of a soap opera, where he was set to make a cameo appearance.
Trump makes several lewd remarks about women, including how he attempted to have sex with a married women and how many women let him aggressively hit on them because he’s “a star.”
After the Post’s report, Trump released a video apologizing for the comments.
