Former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson claimed that Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) discussed QAnon with former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows and former President Donald Trump in the months leading up to Jan. 6.
The claim was made in her June 20, 2022 testimony to the Jan. 6 Committee, which was released to the public along with 15 other people’s interview transcripts Tuesday. Hutchinson didn’t say the specifics of the conversations, but she claimed there were multiple discussions that took place within the White House, with one taking place on Dec. 21, 2020, less than a month before the riot.

“In the Dec. 21 meeting I was referencing in the transcript, I recall QAnon being raised. Again, I don’t know many of the differences between all of these groups and what they support or advocate for,” she said. “I remember Marjorie Taylor Greene bringing QAnon up several times though in the presence of the president, privately with Mark.”
“And, you know, I remember Mark having a few conversations, too, about more specific to QAnon stuff and more about the ideas that they had with the election and, you know, not as much pertaining to planning of the Jan. 6 rally,” Hutchinson added.
She also claimed that she heard “Proud Boys” and “Oath Keepers” being uttered by Meadows around Rudy Giuliani, though she wasn’t aware of the context.

The committee asked Hutchinson if she heard presidential assistant Peter Navarro discussing QAnon with White House staffers. She said she wasn’t sure.
QAnon is a complex conspiracy theory and movement that believes Trump is fighting a secret battle against a cabal of pedophiles and Satan-worshipers within the United States government.
