Obama staffer: Sarah Sanders getting kicked out of a restaurant is the ‘dumbest’ debate in Washington

Former Obama communications director Dan Pfeiffer said the “dumbest” debate going on in politics right now is the discussion over White House press secretary Sarah Sanders getting asked to leave a restaurant because of her position in the administration.

“I don’t care where Sarah Huckabee Sanders eats, the Democrats shouldn’t feel defensive because a private citizen politely asked her to leave a private business,” Pfeiffer told the Daily Beast.

Pfeiffer claimed that those in the Trump administration who are being attacked in the public space deserve what is coming to them because they decided to work for and “lie” for a “dangerously unfit racist liar.” But he indicated people should retaliate at the voting booth.

“Sarah Huckabee Sanders and so many more of Trump’s aides made a decision to lie for a dangerously unfit racist liar, and they should be held accountable,” Pfeiffer said. “Nothing will be able to remove that black mark from their reputations, but I am more interested in the sort of accountability voters can bring.”

Last month, Sanders was asked to leave Red Hen Restaurant in Lexington, Va., by the owner; Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen was forced out of a Mexican restaurant by socialist protests and had people protesting outside of her house; and Environmental and Protection Agency Administrator Scott Pruitt was confronted on camera while dining at a restaurant.

Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., called on people to keep confronting Trump administration officials whenever they appear in public.
