Jorge Ramos, anchor at the Spanish-language Univision, is accusing Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump of fostering bigotry after the two men jousted last week at a press conference over U.S. immigration policy.
“Trump is promoting bigotry,” Ramos wrote on Twitter. “The Trump supporter that told me, ‘Get out of my country’ spoke seconds after Trump told me, ‘Go back to Univision.'”

Ramos, who is known to advocate for relaxed immigration policies, confronted Trump last week on things Trump has said about immigrants. Without being called on, Ramos fired off several statements on immigration to Trump, who told the anchor to “sit down” because he had not been called on.
“Go back to Univision,” Trump said, before Ramos was removed by security.
Ramos was readmitted later and Trump, who has taken a hardline against illegal immigration, engaged him for several minutes.
Since then, Ramos has gone on a media tour, accusing Trump of censoring the press, even though no other reporter was removed from the room and Ramos had been allowed re-entry.
