Hillary Clinton, whose presidential ambitions in 2016 were hurt by an unauthorized email server scandal, was caught on camera apparently looking at a newspaper article about Vice President Mike Pence’s personal email account that was hacked.
The photo, which shows the former secretary of state reading a USA Today newspaper with the lead story headline “Pence used personal email in office,” was reportedly snapped during a flight from Logan Airport in Boston to LaGuardia Airport in New York.
Caitlin Quigley, a manager of development and communications for a New York-based LGBTQ healthcare center, took credit for the photo, which she then shared with a few people sitting near her on the plane who knew she took the photo, and soon after it went viral on social media.

Calling it a “stealth shot,” Quigley told the Huffington Post that the photo was not staged and somewhat prophetically added about the ensuing social media teasing that any Internet meme about it “writes itself.”

@jdawsey1 Hillary just checking the daily news. “Pence used personal email in office.” The irony is palpable. pic.twitter.com/oia1ARiZ0g

Quigley also added that Clinton was sitting next to her longtime aide Huma Abedin, and the two were sitting in coach.
