Eric Trump on Biden: ‘My father would destroy that guy on the debate stage’

Eric Trump said President Trump would easily win a debate against former Vice President Joe Biden.

“My father would destroy that guy on the debate stage,” the younger Trump said Monday on Fox & Friends.

He mentioned recent missteps by Biden, including him mistakenly saying his late son Beau was U.S. attorney general and incorrectly saying he is running for U.S. Senate instead of president.

The president also makes fun of Biden for his mistakes. “If I did that once, it would be the end of the road,” Trump said at a rally in South Carolina last week.

Eric Trump additionally criticized other Democrats, including Pete Buttigieg. He said the former mayor of South Bend, Indiana, dropping out of the presidential race on Sunday proved he “sold his soul” to the Democratic Party.

“He campaigns for a year, what was he promised by the [Democratic National Committee]?” Trump said. “This proves my father’s entire thesis, which is they are against Bernie Sanders.”

Sanders leads the Democratic field in delegates, but a key win in South Carolina on Saturday by Biden closed the gap. People in fourteen states and American Samoa will vote March 3 as part of Super Tuesday contests, in which 1,357 delegates are up for grabs.
