WHAT: Pelosi spent $2,993 in taxpayer money on flowers between June and October, according to documents released Monday by the chief administrative officer of the House. Pelosi’s staff claims she spent a third of that amount on blooms she ordered from a local florist for Jack Kemp’s funeral.
WHY IT’S AN OUTRAGE: In the context of a $12 trillion debt, a complaint about spending $2,993 looks small-minded. Surely we can do better than this.
