The Bison (6-16, 4-5 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) moved into a five-way tie for sixth place in the MEAC by defeating Maryland-Eastern Shore over the weekend. The group includes tonight’s opponent, the Hornets (6-18, 4-5), who ended a two-game skid with a win at Hampton. A win tonight would mean the first four-game win streak in head coach Gil Jackson’s four seasons at Howard.
After missing one game with a back injury, Howard senior guard Eugene Myatt has averaged 21.3 points in each of the last three games, including a team-high 22 against the Hawks. The game also marked the returned the return of sophomore forward Adam Walker after missing eight games due to an academic suspension. Sophomore guard Kyle Riley has scored in double figures in seven straight contests, averaging 14.7 ppg during that stretch.
