Latest men’s Top 25, and then a few more

Here’s my latest AP Top 25 ballot. Yes, I’m impressed by the Temple win over Villanova — it puts Georgetown’s home-opening victory over the Owls in a very different light. However, I can’t simply drop the ‘Nova down that far because it was a intra-city rivalry. That’s why Cincinnati hangs on to a place in the rankings. Wisconsin was a little harder not to punish after losing to Wisconsin-Green Bay, even if it was in overtime.

1. Kansas (10-0)

2. Kentucky (9-0)

3. Texas (9-0)

4. Purdue (9-0)

5. West Virginia (7-0)

6. Tennessee (7-1)

7. Syracuse (10-0)

8. Villanova (9-1)

9. Florida (8-1)

10. North Carolina (8-2)

11. Duke (7-1)

12. Connecticut (6-2)

13. Georgetown (8-0)

14. Michigan State (8-2)

15. Texas Tech (9-0)

16. New Mexico (10-0)

21. Florida State (7-2)

22. Kansas State (9-1)
