Jimmy Carter–who definitely knows a thing or two about alienating Americans–isn’t keen on the idea of an Obama/Clinton administration, as he told the London Guardian:
Nice of Carter to play the bigot angle when discussing why some people won’t vote for Obama. He might want to take some other reasons into consideration: Tony Rezko, Father Michael Pfleger, Rev. Jeremiah White, and Bill Ayers, for starters. If that isn’t enough, there’s always Obama’s desire to have tea and toast with any despot in his Fave Five. I wonder what Carter thinks now that Hamas has withdrawn its endorsement of Obama. Calling for the destruction of Israel? No problem. But turning thumbs down on Obama? Carter should definitely reconsider hobnobbing with bigots like that.
