President Trump urged Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to “move quickly” to hold Obama administration officials accountable in his response to a tweet referring to the “Russian collusion hoax.”
“Mitch, I love you, but this is 100% true,” Trump tweeted Saturday morning in response to a tweet from The Federalist co-founder Sean Davis. “Time is running out. Get tough and move quickly, or it will be too late. The Dems are vicious, but got caught. They MUST pay a big price for what they have done to our Country. Don’t let them get away with this! @LindseyGrahamSC.”

“Mitch McConnell has spent years pretending as though the Russian collusion hoax never happened,” Davis tweeted alongside an article by Mollie Hemingway. “If he thinks he’s going to keep the Senate majority and confirm more judges without addressing the hoax and holding the hoaxers accountable, he’s lost his mind.”
Trump has been urging Republicans to take action following recent reports suggesting that the FBI acted improperly in the investigation into former national security adviser Michael Flynn, as well as the recent memo showing a long list of Obama administration officials requesting Flynn’s unmasking.
GOP South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham, whom Trump tagged in his tweet, balked at the idea of calling former President Barack Obama to the Senate to testify about the Russia investigation.
“I don’t think now’s the time for me to do that. I don’t know if that’s even possible. I have grave concerns about the role of executive privilege and all kinds of issues,” Graham said this week. “I understand President Trump’s frustration, but be careful what you wish for. Just be careful what you wish for.”
