Young people knock Hillary Clinton for ‘dead broke’ claim

In a new video released by Campus Reform, young people criticize Hillary Clinton for calling Bill and herself “dead broke” when they left the White House despite the fact that she had $8 million in her pocket for her book It Takes a Village.

Campus Reform‘s Caleb Bonham visited Georgetown University to ask individuals whether or not they would donate to a fund for struggling politicians, aptly named the “Hillary Clinton Fund for Dead Broke Politicians.”

Some people just don’t buy Clinton’s admission to ABC’s Diane Sawyer: “I don’t really think she’s broke in the first place,” says one man. Others just laugh at her assertion: “I just graduated from college, so I’m dead broke, Hillary,” exclaims one woman.

One individual even agrees that the comment makes her appear out-of-touch with the average American and will hurt her chances in future ventures such as, say, the 2016 presidential race. “That seems kind of crazy that she’d actually have the gall to say that if she’s actually ever going to get elected to anything ever again,” explains the young man.

The same individual goes on to describe her as ill-equipped to handle the U.S. economy and to make “decisions about how to tax people.” This doesn’t bode well for Hillary, considering Americans rate the nation’s economy as the top priority for the government.

In addition to spotlighting young people’s opinions of Hillary’s financial claims, the video also features some useful facts about the Clintons’ prosperity. Specifically, since 2001, Bill and Hillary Clinton have made over $100 million. What’s more, each earns $200,000 for every speech they deliver. What do they do with all that cash? Well, they’ve spent it on two multi-million dollar houses, one in Washington, D.C., and the other located in Chappaqua, N.Y.
