Get used to it: Martha s here to stay

Martha Stewart isn’t only back, she’s not planning on going anywhere.

“I’m a fighter; I’m going to be here forever,” she said Wednesday, as she testified to the Senate Special Committee on Aging on the topic of caring for seniors.

She would know: She rebuilt the geriatric center at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York.

And she let us in on just how busy she is. “I work seven days a week,” she said. “I have many jobs I do for my company.” Like starting a magazine for women over 50, which she discussed.

Martha sported a navy-blue suit, a gray blouse and dark-gray, 4-inch heels. No word on what she thought of the committee’s tacky, green felt tablecloth.

She even got a “thank you!” from a Code Pink protester on her way out — before the protester shouted after her, “Health care not warfare! That’s our message, Martha Stewart!”
