House Speaker Paul Ryan had a moment of brutal honesty Thursday when asked what he hopes President Obama will say in his final State of the Union address.
He proceeded to tick off some lofty expectations: “I would tell him in his State of the Union, ‘I take it all back. The healthcare was wrong. We shouldn’t have done Dodd-Frank.'”
The answer drew laughter from the Capitol press corps.
“Something tells me he might not say that,” Ryan said.
The State of the Union is Jan. 12.
