DETROIT (AP) — The Detroit Land Bank Authority will hold a job fair for 40 event support jobs.
Mayor Mike Duggan’s office says the event is scheduled from noon to 4 p.m. Friday in the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law atrium.
Event support associates help the Land Bank Authority host open houses as part of a city initiative to auction off vacant homes. The part-time, weekend positions pay $10 per hour.
Four customer service/intake support positions also are available. The $12 per hour office jobs are full-time and include answering telephones and helping customers during the auction process.
The city says preference in hiring will be given to Detroit residents.
