Marla Maples, President Trump’s second wife, is returning to television.

Maples, the mother of Tiffany Trump, is in South Carolina filming for a part in the upcoming comedy series “The Righteous Gemstones,” an HBO spokesman told the Washington Examiner. Maples is not a cast regular, the spokesman said.

A news release says Danny McBride and John Goodman star in the show about “a world-famous televangelist family with a long tradition of deviance, greed and charitable work — all in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.” The release does not mention Maples.

The show is set to air later this year.

In a recent Instagram post, Maples said she “couldn’t be much happier.” The last time she worked in the Carolinas, she said, was when she acted in Stephen King’s “Maximum Overdrive.”

Maples and Trump were married from 1993 to 1999. After their divorce Maples and their daughter moved to Southern California, where Tiffany was raised.

Before the 2016 election Maples was a contestant on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars.”

She has largely avoided the spotlight since her ex-husband became president.
