Here’s who is attending the White House Correspondents’ dinner

Updated at 10:04 p.m.

President Trump won’t be there, but the White House Correspondents Association dinner will go on.

The annual event in Washington sometimes called “Nerd Prom,” is an opportunity for the media to enjoy a dinner and jokes alongside celebrity guests and D.C. politicians.

The emcee this year will be Michelle Wolf, a “Daily Show” contributor, says no one is off-limits with her jokes this evening.

Earlier this month it was announced Trump would skip the event for the second year in a row in favor of a rally. He’ll be in Washington, Mich., for that event, which starts at 7:30 p.m. ET. However, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders and other administration will be there in his stead.

The WHCD won’t begin until 9:30 p.m., but guests are already arriving at the red carpet.

Here’s a look at who is in attendance:

– Omarosa Manigault-Newman, former director of communications for the White House Office of Public Liaison, who also starred in Trump’s “Apprentice” reality show series on NBC.

– Sean Spicer, former White House press secretary, who has a book, “The Briefing,” coming out this summer.

– Michael Avenatti, the lawyer for Stormy Daniels, the porn star who is locked in a legal battle with Trump and his personal lawyer Michael Cohen over an alleged affair. Avenatti is the guest of the Associated Press. Avenatti has already been spotted around town at various WHCD events this weekend and met White House counselor Kellyanne Conway at one of them. He described that meeting as “spirited” while speaking with CNN on the red carpet.

– Reince Priebus, former White House chief of staff. He told CNN on the red carpet, “I think there might be a little bit of a thaw occurring in the West Wing, maybe next year President Trump’s going to be here.”

– White House press secretary Sarah Sanders told CNN that Trump encouraged White House staff to attend the WHCD this year.

– White House counselor Kellyanne Conway, who told CNN that with Trump in Michigan and his aides at the WHCD, “We’re doubling the coverage. We’re here on behalf of the president and in celebration of the First Amendment. And the president is in Michigan touting the very strong economy and the prosperity and security that his administration has brought to bear.”

– Gary Cohn, former chief economic adviser to Trump, who was recently replaced by Larry Kudlow.

– Comedian Kathy Griffin.

– House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif.

– Civil rights activist Rev. Al Sharpton

– Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross.

– Ohio Gov. John Kasich. He was asked to comment about the “Nobel” chant at the Trump rally by CNN, and he responded, “It’s a long way between the lip and the cup.”

– Filmmaker Rob Reiner

– David Hogg, Parkland, Fla., high school shooting survivor and advocate against gun violence.
