Grayslake man Veteran of the Month

GRAYSLAKE, Ill. (AP) — A Chicago-area businessman who served on an American submarine during World War II has been selected as the Illinois Veteran of the Month for July.

Robert Krautstrunk joined the Navy in 1944 and served as a radioman in the waning days of the war on the USS Requin.
