Sanders and Warren tied for second behind Biden: Poll

Joe Biden continues to lead the pack of more than 20 Democratic contenders for president, according to a new poll.

The survey of registered voters by NBC News/Survey Monkey has the former vice president at 25% support among Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents. Sens. Bernie Sanders of Vermont and Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts are tied at 16% with Sen. Kamala Harris of California closely trailing the duo with 14% support.

South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg took in 8%, followed by former Rep. Beto O’Rourke of Texas and Sen. Cory Booker of New Jersey with 3% each.

The online poll of 13,553 voters also found that 49% approve of the way President Trump is handling his job, compared to 51% who disapprove. That stands in contrast to voters’ immense dissatisfaction of Congress, with 75% of voters not approving of the way it is handling its job, compared to only 24% who said they approve.

The national survey was conducted from July 2 through July 16.
