Apparently, Twitter and drinking don’t mix. Who knew? Well, former Nationals pitcher Mike Bacsik for one. The man once famous for surrendering Barry Bonds‘ record 756th homer is now in the news because of his mouth (and his thumbs).
After the Dallas Mavericks lost to San Antonio on Sunday night, Bacsik, who works for Sports Radio 1310 The Ticket in Dallas, tweeted among other things: “Congrats to all the dirty Mexicans in San Antonio.”

And we know he was drinking because he also tweeted this: “About 12 deep and some shots. So f this league.” And this: “If I get cancer and I’m going to die, I will blow NBA offices.” And this: “I’m done with this f’in league and I might be done with the ticket.”
Bacsik tweeted an apology to the Hispanic community in San Antonio and he was suspended by his radio station.
But if he ever wanted to be known for something other than allowing a homer, congratulations!
